Note: I didn't think I'd be posting these since all copies of the Ruby Falls View-master sets have suffered from color shifting. It's a condition that results from using cheapo film (Thanks GAF) instead of archival Kodachrome, which had been the film of choice since View-Masters were first produced in 1939. The GAF company bought View-Master in the early 1970's and continued with the tradition of using Kodachrome until sometime in the late 1970's when they chose to use an inferior film format as a cost cutting measure and this is what their cost cutting move leaves us with today...
There's several versions of Rock City Gardens and Lookout Mountain that were released on View-Master but there was only one version of Ruby Falls on View-Master and that's what they all look like now. So again, thanks GAF and whoever the A-hole in the suit was that decided to use non-archival film for their View-Master releases.
Rant over. :)
Anyway, all is not lost because I just discovered that my Epson V550 scanner can overcome a lot of the color-shifting so let's get on with the show.
